Urban Garden Fun
We live in a compact space and small yard. The front of the house is southern facing and that is where the sun shines all day. We planned our raised garden beds in the FRONT yard so they can soak up the sun all day long.
The best things about having a home garden are having an abundance of vegtables and some fruit all summer and fall; kids get involved and help care for the plants, harvest and learn about nature and cultivating a living space! Simon is my little garden buddy. Since a very young age he would run to the garden to see how things were growning and what needed to be watered. He seems to have a keen sense of when a plant needs watering. Dispite all the garden help and harvesting, I have yet to get this child to eat most of the vegtables he helps grow! I'm hoping someday.....
