Attic dormer, new roof and lots of dust
I can't believe it's been a year since my last post--- and it was a busy year of house renovations. The big project was getting a 28' foot shed dormer install in the attic. This made room to add a new bedroom and full bath. There was an existing room in the front of the attic. We took down the drop ceiling and now it more open and feels bigger. We also had to get a new roof installed... as we were already using 4-5 buckets to catch leaks. The attic is fully insulated and the plaster walls went in last week. Now we are just waiting for the plaster to "cure" a few weeks then on to painting.
Brett also finished installing the beautiful cherry trim on the TOH load bearing wall opening. Next step is for Tung Oil and clear poly. Can't wait for the cherry to darken into it's beautiful tone.
